THE TEAM

DEAN CAMPER PH.D, PE

Dean is the Engineering and Technology Lead at Saola Energy, LLC. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering, summa cum laude, from Mississippi State University, and a Ph. D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Colorado in Boulder. His experience includes refining, biofuels, process engineering, design engineering, research, and technology development. Dean has extensive experience in renewable diesel, hydrotreating, coking, and crude compatibility, providing technical service to refineries worldwide. Dean has lead research and development programs that resulted in over 100 million dollars in recovered lost profit opportunities. Dean is a licensed Professional Engineer in Chemical Engineering in the states of Oklahoma and Kansas.

ADAM BELYAMANI

Adam oversees day-to-day business operations at Saola Energy. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Wichita State University, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts in Lowell. Adam's areas of expertise include business development, strategic planning, project management and product development in the biofuels industry. He led the cross-functional team that successfully commercialized an enzymatic biodiesel technology co-located with an ethanol plant, directed multiple collaborative R&D projects with domestic and foreign partners, and has spearheaded projects to develop innovative solutions for the industry.

Business Development & Strategic Planning
BEN ROOT

Ben Root works in Process Engineering for Saola Energy. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wyoming. Ben's areas of expertise include process engineering and project management, with previous work in environmental testing and reporting. Ben has experience in used oil re-refining, renewable diesel, biodiesel, and ethanol. He has worked in a design role as well as in an operations and plant start-up support role. He has done PSM work including PHAs, MOCs, SOCLs, and other required processes. Ben has also managed projects including ethanol plant upgrades and turnaround/shutdown management.

Process Engineering
MIKE MORRIS

Mike was previously the Plant Manager for Green Energy Products in Sedgwick, Kansas, producing Renewable Diesel and Biodiesel. He was responsible for all aspects of daily operations for the plants. Mike has over 19 years management and operations experience in the biofuels and refining industries. Mike was on the ground floor of the Ethanol industry boom and gained valuable experience in operations, troubleshooting, and process improvements.

JOSH DONAHUE 

Josh is the Project Management lead at Saola Energy, LLC. Josh has 15 years of experience in commercial and industrial construction Project Management. He has 6 years of experience as a commercial construction consultant working with Large Insurance Carriers on loss mitigation and commercial general contracting consulting. He has been the lead on successful Steam Turbine Generator Projects, as well as multiple projects in the Biofuels industry. Josh also has a background in sales, marketing, and business development. Over the past 5 years he has successfully managed and consulted on projects totaling over 250 million dollars.
